How to manage life-cycle of an Asset?

An asset should be linked to a job to perform any asset action. Whenever the Customer purchases a product, it reaches the customer premises and is installed, it becomes an asset. The user can track the asset status for the entire life cycle.

Pre-Requisites: An asset should be linked with the job.

Navigation: Jobs --> Job Details --> + Link Asset

1.      The various asset actions are as follows:

Install

Install / Reinstall an Asset

Remove

Remove the asset from a location.

Replacement / Swap

The assets can be replaced or swapped based on the requirements.

Place Under Service

The assets are put under service.

Mark as Obsolete

When the asset can no longer be used or if an asset requires long inspections, marking an asset as obsolete can be done.

The managers only can perform the Obsolete action.

2.    a. Select the "Jobs" module from the top-left hamburger icon.

b. Now select the job for which you want to update the asset actions.

c. Under the "Asset Details" section, select the "+ Link Asset" button or use the scan icon.

3. You can either add an "Existing Asset" or perform the asset actions such as "Install, Remove, or Replace the asset."

4.  Select the "Mark as Installed" option if the installation is done successfully. You can also edit the asset remarks, add asset parts, collect inspection forms, or remove the asset from a job.

5.  For the selected action, in the case of installation – you have two options to add an item

1. Add from products is used to install a New Product, automatically creating a New Asset.

 2. Add from assets marks an existing asset as installed.

6. Add the relevant assets/products, and the appropriate attachments can also be added. Finally, choose the "Install" button.

7. The asset installation is successful.

The Asset actions help to maintain and track the assets optimally. The current asset status can be noted; based on that, the user's required jobs are created and assigned.
