Maps module helps you get a panoramic view and track the availability of field technician team /Jobs performed for a particular day/territory. Significant merits of the Maps module help you in Live location tracking, Jobs accomplished, and critical location insights.
The Maps module can be a breakdown into following sub-modules:
While creating the employee, if the "track location" is enabled, then the Live location of the field executive can be accessed. Please follow the instructions below for the same.
Users:
1. Select the "Maps" icon from the Menu bar on the left panel.
2. On the maps Page, click on the "Users" Button from the menu bar on the left and select the team and click on the user.
Note: By default, all the users from the team will be listed. The "Show only Recent Seen Users" checkbox will list the only users that are currently online or were online recently. The user location will be shown on the map, and you can scroll and drag to view the exact location.
Note: Next to the user's name the current battery percentage on the user's device and a hyperlink "History" to view the user's location history will be available Jobs:
1. Select the "Maps" icon from the Menu bar on the left side.
2. On the maps Page, Click on the "Jobs" button from the menu bar on the left. This will show the list of jobs scheduled for the day in the window on the left. 3. By default, the jobs for the current day will be shown. To view the past/future job, please click on the "date" hyperlink (jobs for 01/06/2021).
The day-specific job of the user can be searched and displayed under the job’s module of the maps. The selection options are available to choose the relevant and the users
4. This will launch the date picker, select the required date to view the respective jobs for the day.
5. Clicking on the job will show the location of the job, or you can click on the job icon on the Map to view the details of the job.
Note: If the customer location is not plotted on the Map in the customer details, it will not show up. Therefore, make sure the customer's location is updated while creating the job. “The Geo-Co-ordinates should be available” to track the Field Executive seamlessly. Routes:
Routes can be created in Zuper to help employees find the best possible Route to the job locations. Courses are designed based on the Start location, date, time, and type of transport. Please follow the below instructions to create a Route:
1. Log in to Zuper Account.
2. Select the "Maps" icon from the Menu bar on the left side.
3. On the maps Page, Click on the "Routes" button from the menu bar on the left.
How to create a new route and Job to the route?
When adding a new job to a route, with the current improvement, it is now possible to select a preferred date using the date range filter, review the list of jobs within that range, and add them accordingly.
Navigation: Maps --> Routes --> Route --> + Add Job --> Date Range Picker | Exclamation Symbol - If this is shown, then the job is not having geo-coordinates. The job created without geo-coordinates will be shown to the user with the exclamation mark while adding a job to the route.
1. Select "+" button to create a new route.
4. In the "Create new Route" window, enter the details and click on "Create Route."
Route Name- Provide a name for the Route.
1. Departure Date - Date of departure on the Route.
2. Departure Time - Time of departure on the Route
3. Route Color - The color with which the Route will be marked on the map.
4. Route Optimization Rate - The method of optimization to be used when creating the Route (Fastest Travell time/ Shortest Distance)
5. Transport Mode - The mode of transport that would be used on the Route.
6. Start Location - The location from where the Route would start.
7. End Location - The location from where the Route ends.
2. From the "Maps," Select the "Routes" sub-section, and from the date picker, choose the date on which you want to view the route.
6. Now Click on "Optimize route" icon and this will show the best route based on your preference to reach all the jobs.
Edit Route:
The created routes can be either Edited, Cloned, or deleted easily.
1. The Edit route option helps to modify the route, and you can choose the modified route and tap on the “Update Route.”
Note: Past departure time cannot be chosen.
2. You can reorder the jobs based on your preference.
4. Drag and drop the jobs and select the "Reorder Jobs" button.
3. The Clone route option helps to copy the route.
Tap on the “Clone Route.”
4. The delete option helps to delete the route.
Tap on the “Delete Route.”
The blue dot indicates the dates on which routes are scheduled.
Two major settings that are much useful for you are:
Overlay of Service Territory.
The overlay of Jobs helps to view the jobs from one point to another and tracking of Jobs are made easier.
The overlay of Service Territory helps to find the territory where the routes and jobs are carried out efficiently. (To add the new service territory regions, Settings --> Service Territory --> New Service Territory option to be set and similarly, existing service territory can be edited or deactivated using “Edit Service Territory” and “Deactivate Territory” respectively.)
Assign New User, Add new Job and Reassign the Job:
To Assign the new user for a job in a particular route, tap “Assign User” icon.
To add a new job, tap on the “+Add Job” option.
If you want to reassign the job, now easily reassign using the following steps:
Under Routes with the reassignment of Job options, we can view the job, reassign the job and delete the job.
Tap on the routes and select a single route, click the 3 dots present.
The view job option helps to see the job details.
The assign to another route option helps the user to reassign the job to another route. We can reorder the jobs inside a route based on the user preference.
The remove from route option helps you to remove the job from the route.
The new jobs are added to the routes
successfully.
What's more, users will receive direct
notifications about routes lacking geo-coordinates. With this new enhancement,
multiple jobs can be added to the route with a single click using the date
range selection.
